As a home-grown interior companion, it gives readers fabulous tips to turn their homes into stylish havens and is a handy resource on what to buy and where to get it for the homeowner.

The basic idea of your application project
The STYLE LIVING app was created and designed to bridge the two media forms.
Incorporated into the app are entertaining videos from magazine stories and also many pictures that have been laid out in an interactive manner.
This is aimed at giving the current magazine readers a more interactive and enriching experience. It engages, offering them another avenue for consumption, Not forgetting the more savvy and techy readers, it incorporates the buying element. Products featured in a recent story were up for sale through the app.

The implementation
STYLE LIVING September 2010
Both the magazine team and app teams were consistent in driving this project through together. And this allows all the content to be laid out convincingly to suit the iPad. Design was an important element and helped connect the 2 channels. The app was like a more interactive extension of the magazine with the videos and pictures. It also has the same videos, hotspots, web links and scrollable text functions.

Results of the application implementation
Great feedback from users include quotes like “best kept secret” and “great and promising app”. The app has also helped to market the magazine to readers who have not come across the magazine title.
