  General information about the publication
   Junct!on is an English language iPad-only app. It’s a revolutionary synergy between high quality editorial content in a multimedia magazine, outstanding innovative technical features and effects and real-time information from the best sources on the web. All content can be personalized within magazine and app.
  Entry description
   We finally agreed on junct!on as it represents a crossroads for our company. We are, as our slogan proclaims: Going new ways. Taking different turns. Literally. The project marks a changing point for us as a traditional publishing house. We are utilizing the new media available to us today to increase revenue, become more innovative and develop new business models.
  The basic idea of your application project
   We combine high quality multimedia content and real-time information from sources on the web into a personalized media experience.
junct!on is much more than a magazine PDF – it allows the user to organize and archive relevant content – increasing efficiency and usability.
junct!on consists of three components:
#The cockpit provides 4 feeds: news, tweets, blogs and jobs. They have been set up by our editorial, but can also be personalized.
# The monthly magazine presents insights and knowledge for growing businesses in different directions: connect, locate and draw attention to your business in the digital world, outstanding ad campaigns, mobile apps, media strategies and tactics. And since the iPad is still very much a lifestyle product, tips and amusing bits on culture and trends.
# myjunct!on let's you save snippets of information, articles, case studies etc., tag them and store them for later. The same goes for your favourite feeds from the cockpit.
The business model is a paid app model. However, the first 1 -3 issues will be free of charge in order to initially generate reach and downloads which will make the app more attractive to advertisers and increase our audience and revenues.
We launched in July 2011 and are considering various revenue models: revenue share, product placement, sponsoring and links to stores where products can be bought online and paid content.
Our vision was to produce a magazine for tablet PCs from scratch leveraging all the multimedia possibilities which make reading magazines more entertaining today. We wanted to create content on topics for business professionals from all industry sectors giving them inspiration to improve and expand their businesses.
We wanted to show that its possible for a mid sized publishing house to create, develop and produce a magazine on a global scale by leveraging the resources available today, eg. cutting out shipment and printing costs and and still delivering globally.
junct!on has been essential in driving our business forward in new directions. We want to show that we are a thought leading company, always on the hunt for new ideas and ways to expand our target group and reach new potential readers with our products.
We want to expand, reach audiences outside of the communication sector and in the much broader market of business professionals, regardless how big or small the company, the regional location or what their business is.
We want to target all business sectors and professionals who want to drive the success of their business through new and innovative digital technologies. Globally.

During the implementation phase, we built up dramaturgy by integrating each different media channel step by step.
Videos, teaser campaigns with QR Code, Event, Banners, PM, Interviews, FB, Twitter, articles in print and online.
Budget was limited so it was crucial for us to make sure that all our marketing activities were consistent and built upon each other and to utilise cross media/multi channeling
