	Style magazine is the indispensable shopping companion for the Singaporean woman who is trend-sensitive, brand-savvy and style-conscious. Style gives a Singaporean perspective to international runway trends and showcases high fashion in a manner that’s accessible and relevant to the reader, even as the magazine continues to inspire and surprise her with visually arresting fashion and beauty spreads. It’s really for the woman who wants to know what to buy and where to get it

	This follows the name of the magazine since content is largely similar.

	The basic idea of your application project

	• The Style app was created and designed to bridge the two media forms. Incorporated into the app are entertaining videos related to the magazine stories and also a myriad of pictures that are laid out in an interactive manner. • Also, particularly interactive is the fast moving, animated cover that has a model continuously changed her pose. This offers the current magazine readers a more interactive and enriching experience. It also engages more techy readers, offering them another exciting platform for consumption. It is the first local women’s magazine to have an animated cover.

The implementation

Style September 2010
Both the magazine and app teams were consistent in driving this project through. And this allows all the content to be laid out convincingly to suit the iPad. Design was an important element which helped connect the 2 channels. The app, incorporating videos and other elements such as hotspots, scrollable text and web links, was really a more interactive extension of the magazine.

Results of the application implementation

After the implementation, magazine subscription has steadily increased by up to 30% in subsequent months. Good feedback include quotes like “a refreshing app” and “stylish”.
