  General information about the publication
   In a special projet within the website zerohora.com, we present the dunes to the readers in an attractive and unique way. With this goal, we detailed the ecosystem, the movement and function of this natural formation. We invest in graphics, images and videos telling how it may impact the life of the community.
  Entry description
   The dunes are the elements that protect the city from the encroachment of the sea. Therefore, the expression "Coastal protection in check" has been chosen: to give the idea that conservation of the dunes is questionable and may have been destroyed over the time. Among the attractive design, it is possible to destac the "formação" button, which brings a 3D simulation that shows a dune formation.
  The basic idea of your cross-media local project
   The basic idea of the project is get attencion of comunity as schools, researchers and entities related to the environment. The detailed study of dunes is getting possible being used in the classroom, both for high school students and for students of universities. Furthermore, we can keep satisfied the readers usual, both online and in print, since the subject was published during the summer while many of them enjoyed the beach and coexist with dunes.

  The implementation
   The project was implemented in this year, in March, which also coincided with the begin of classes in schools. After all material was gather, the art department of newspaper ran the project. The product is consistent in all channels because it gives a lot of information about the importance of dunes and the reader is able to choose whether to read the whole content or only certain links.

  Results of the local project implementation
   The tool we have to measure audience is not able to get the page views of this site special. However, since we published them, e-mails is getting coming with praise of schools, researchers, sites specializing in environmental and public agencies. Among the issues are compliments, suggestions and requests to reproduce the material in class and published in several sites.
