	Diari de Balears es un periódico que nació en 1936. En 1996 pasó a publicarse en lengua catalana propia Mallorca. En 2008 acometió un rediseño total. Las bases fundamentales son el uso de color en todas las páginas y la incorporacion de elementos visuales propios de la web

translation:	Diari de Balears is a daily newspaper founded in 1936. In 1996 it began to be published in mallorquí, the Catalan dialect spoken on the island of Mallorca. In 2008 it underwent a complete redesign. The fundaments of this makeover are the use of colour on every page and the inclusion in the print edition of visual elements typical of the daily's website.

	Idea fundamental de su candidatura

	a. Publicar un periódico atractivo, en consonancia con las exigencias del mercado en el siglo XXI. b. Por la necesidad de modernizar un diseño que permanecía invariable desde hacía 12 años. Se valoróla posibilidad de renovarlo o de crear uno nuevo. Finalmente se optó por esta solución con la asesoría de Innovation. La decisión fue acertada por el reconocimiento que se ha obtenido. c. Al mercado joven, pero sin descuidar el tradicional. d. Ambas cosas. e. Es el objetivo.

translation:	a. To publish an attractive newspaper, in keeping with 21st century market demands. b. To respond to the need to modernise a design that had remained unchanged for the previous 12 years. The options of renewing the design or creating a new one were considered. Finally, with the aid of our consultants from Innovation, we decided to create an entirely new design. The recognition accorded to the paper's new image proved that decision to be the right one. c. To win the young market segment without neglecting our traditional audience. d. Both. e.
