The basic idea of our project |
|
|
A pioneering travel site encouraging readers to share information about their favourite places and participate directly in the site. Innovation, creativity and user-generated content are central to Guardian News & Media's online vision to become the leading global liberal voice. Guardian Unlimited's travel community will be able to compare prices and buy holidays on the site using contextual search components from Travelsupermarket. Readers can also bid for holidays with our auctions service and browse special Guardian and Observer holiday offers. From the advertisers point of view, the site has new flexible advertising slots, which can accommodate the standard sizes recommended by the IAB Universal Advertising Package, as well as the 'half-page ad' which is particularly popular in the US market. Guardian Unlimited was one of the first UK publishers to offer behavioural targeting. Now advertisers can benefit from enhanced targeting opportunities, including the ability to serve ads based on the content tags associated with a particular article, as well as extending geotargeting beyond country level to include targeting by region and city. |
