   Project name: TM World Cup project
   A World Cup channel on the Trinity Mirror regionals website (the "icNetwork"), including a Blog, plus a 32-page print supplement, and promotional links in associated daily titles. The main websites involved were icLiverpool (www.icliverpool.co.uk/worldcup), icBirmingham (www.icbirmingham.co.uk/worldcup) and icNewcastle (www.icnewcastle.co.uk/worldcup). Content for the websites included articles from the 32-page supplement; latest news, fixtures and results; real-time text commentary during games; player profiles; quizzes and votes. The main daily titles involved were the Liverpool Echo, the Newcastle Journal, the Liverpool Daily Post, the Huddersfield Examiner, the Birmingham Mail, the Teesside Evening Gazette, the Coventry Evening Telegraph. The project was sponsored by Powerhouse, a leading electrical retailer, across all channels. Their promotion included an event, "Deal of a Lifetime", which offered an all-in-one package for football fans. The deal, which had a rate card value of over £800,000, included 7 million exclusively sponsored sports page impressions; 8 million run-of-site banner page impressions; 10m skyscraper page impressions; 3 million MPU (adverts within editorial articles) impressions; in paper 70 cms per weeknight; and 600 cms in the World Cup supplement.
