IFRA Press Acceptance Testform

The testform is described in detail in IFRA Special Report 01.2008. It provides a even ink distribution and targets to all relevant printing parameters (dot-gain, register, ghosting, slurring, doubling, ...). The testforme is supplied in the following sizes 315x470mm, 360x530mm, 400x570mm and can be adjusted in a page make-up program (e.g. Quark XPress) to suit other page formats. If the ink sequence is not CMYK the register elements need to be exchanged.

The digital version is program- and platform- independent e.g. Macintosh or Windows PC. Besides open XPress documents EPS and PDF full page documents are supplied on the CD-ROM as well. For reproducing especially the slur targets correctly a well adjusted imagesetter (film/plate) with a resolution of 1270 dpi is needed. More details can be found in the TXT-file on the CD. License fee

The above testforms are available in different formats for different users:

1. End users

End users who would like to order IFRA testforms should note we charge an "End user license fee" for both types of IFRA testform - a) the IFRA Colour Repro Testformes, and b) the IFRA Press Acceptance Testform:

2. Manufacturers

Manufacturers who would like to order IFRA testforms should note we charge a "Manufacturers license fee" for both types of IFRA testform - a) the IFRA Colour Repro Testforms, and b) the IFRA Press Acceptance Testform.

The following kinds of manufacturing companies are included in this context:
1. Printing press manufacturers
2. Imagesetter manufacturers - film or photopaper
3. Imagesetter manufacturers - CTP system
4. Printing plate manufacturers
5. Printing ink manufacturers
6. Paper manufacturers
7. Printing press blanket manufacturers
8. Consultancies
It shall also apply to suppliers and agents of the above types of companies.

It means that the "Manufacturers license fee" for each type of testform will be as follows:
