Since the future of media usage is strongly dependent on the development of society, technology and markets, the IFRA “Where NEWS?” project analyses those conditional and environmental questions before predicting new media consumption behaviour.

AdsML
AdsML is an initiative supported by IFRA, the Newspaper Association of America (NAA) and IDEAlliance, a leader in XML-based standards development for the graphics communication industry, in order to create the first comprehensive, global standard for end-to-end advertising workflow.

MINDS
In 2004, IFRA had joined five European news agencies in founding a consortium to create a new generation of information and new services for mobile communication. Today MINDS International is a Pan-European initiative of leading national news agencies in the mobile and digital business.

IFRA Track
IFRA Track started in the mid 90s as a research project to foster the communication between global production management and tracking systems and the numerous production devices in the field. In 2002 IFRA Track has entered the new media age with its version 3.0 which was converted to XML. Since then it was admired due its ease of use and its flexibility to adopt to nearly all workflows. There are numerous installations of IFRA Track world-wide today.
