Technologies that had been of interest mostly just to new media geeks and early adopters are to be found throughout IfraExpo this year. Front-line system vendor CCI Europe is one of at least two exhibitors demonstrating e-reader integration, for example. Also here are suppliers offering text-to-speech technologies and a variety of mobile services. And Expo attendees literally packed a soldout session on cross-media. 2006 may be known as the year that stodgy newspapers got hip.
