IFRA Board Member Tobias Trevisan

Tobias Trevisan was born on 17th March 1959 in Basle (Switzerland). He graduated with a degree in economics from Basle University in 1984. He is also a professional advertising manager and has received management training from the Harvard Business School (AMP). He entered the publishing industry in 1987 and joined Ringier AG, the largest Swiss publishing house, where he worked for four years for the regional newspaper “Luzerner Neuste Nachrichten” as well as the “Ringier Romandie” subsidiary in West Switzerland. After spending some time in the advertising industry, in 1994 he was appointed Business Manager at Tamedia AG, with commercial responsibility for "SonntagsZeitung" and then for the "Tages-Anzeiger". In 1999, he joined "Neue Zürcher Zeitung" as Business Manager. In this function, he was responsible for re-aligning the publishing house to market requirements and for the successful launch of "NZZ am Sonntag". He was appointed Chief Executive of the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" on 1st September 2005. He is Spokesman of the Board since 1st January 2006 .
