Video clip of FMC Outrigger AGVs

A robotic clamp automated guided vehicle (AGV) storing and retrieving rolls in the warehouse.

1.6MB mp4 from FMC Technologies - The first 10 seconds show a robotic clamp automated guided vehicle (AGV) storing and retrieving rolls in the warehouse. This vehicle removes rolls from a conveyor at the roll receiving dock, stores the rolls in stacks and retrieves them when needed by production. It delivers the rolls to the roll preparation station, where the outer cover is removed.

The next 20 seconds show the robotic forked AGV delivering a roll to the automated press loading vehicle (red). This robotic forked vehicle picks up rolls (outer cover already removed) at the roll preparation station and delivers them to a buffer storage area (can be in racks or on floor and is sometimes called laydown) or directly to the presses. The rolls are then automatically loaded into the reel arms by the automated press loading vehicle.
