NewsAlert Public

NewsAlert Public supplies the population with news that is of outstanding importance, mainly weather warnings and all types of emergencies, though also official announcements, weather and traffic news. Only mobile devices combine widespread use with high-speed transmission. Registration to the free service is via the internet. The user receives the information by SMS or automatically generated calls. The service will in future also be available through “Location Based Services”, so that persons will be reached who did not register in advance.

NewsAlert Pro

NewsAlert Pro supplies personalised information without delay to mobile devices. The service consists of alerts via e-mail and a database archive for research purposes. The service is aimed therefore at users who require time-critical information in all places and at all times. Such persons include, for example, managers of businesses, associations or other institutions, politicians, journalists and PR specialists. Distribution is via hand-helds with e-mail push functionality, e.g. BlackBerrys. NewsAlert Pro is marketed directly by the news agencies. NewsAlert Pro thus keeps users abreast with latest news, therefore providing them with possibly decisive competitive advantages.

General News

General News presents latest news stories in a multimodal and multimedia, networked way: all formats from SMS to 3G are supported: SMS brings the breaking story, “Daily MMS” a news overview, while background information can be retrieved on the mobile internet. The combination of text, audio and video elements permits a high level of flexibility and enables the customer to navigate interactively through the new offering.

Rich Media News/Graphics

Rich Media News/Graphics supplies animated and interactive information graphics and photos to mobiles. The technical realisation in FlashLite enables the users to navigate by intuition. Agency contents can be combined with provider contents as “white label content”. The precondition for the commercial launch of Rich Media News/Graphics is a sufficiently widespread utilisation of mobiles with Flash capability.

Rich Audio News

With Rich Audio News, personalised news can be delivered in audio mode. The user profile is defined via a web portal. When the user calls, a matched selection of audio elements is prepared. By means of modern voice control, the user can choose between various topics and offerings.

SportsLive

SportsLive accompanies regional, national and international sports events in real time. Editorial live reporting is backed up with graphics and statistics. Via a web front-end, live reports from regional sports events can also be autonomously produced. The service operates by Data-Push through a Java MIDlet and thus updates itself. SportsLive is designed for convergent utilisation and therefore integrated into a multimedia sport reporting package consisting of web and print.

Investor Relations

The Investor Relations mobile service guarantees that professional investors are kept informed about latest developments. Business news, including latest news stories, analyses, charts, quotes, alerts and archive services, are displayed on mobile devices. Investor Relations therefore consists of push, pull and database features.

Multilingual News

Multilingual News offers tourist information and general news in several languages. This allows tourists who want to find out more about their location to be always informed. Similarly, people working outside of their own countries can still stay informed about latest developments in their native countries. Multilingual News thus guarantees easy access to news beyond language barriers.

AdAlert

AdAlert is an alert service for classified ads. An alert is sent as soon as an offer matches something that is being sought. The first step is the purely SMS alert. With the integration of MMS and Java, images as well as other details concerning the sought objects can be displayed. AdAlert therefore gives added value to classified ads in daily newspapers.

Platform Tool Kit (PTK)

PTK is a technical platform that regional newspaper publishing houses can use to offer their own mobile services Information services via SMS as well as WAP download of mobile wallpaper are offered. Starting autumn 2005, MMS and mobile advertising services will also be supported. Operation is via a web front-end.

Multimedia Entertainment

The Multimedia Entertainment service covers the topics of human interest, culture, events and music. Latest news stories are combined with database information and ticketing functionality. The service combines push and pull delivery. Because entertainment contents tend not to be highly time-dependent, the content design focuses primarily on providing logical links to additional contents. Multimedia Entertainment caters to the trend towards the utilisation of mobile phones for entertainment applications and therefore offers optimal possibilities also for sponsoring and mobile marketing.

Local Communities

The Local Communities mobile service is aimed at groups having a common specialised interest. Therefore the service acts as a platform for mutual interaction and provides members with specially selected news. This service is conceivable for all regional or local media providers and a wide range of topics, e.g. for local football club fans.
