The IFRANewsplex team provides advisory and support services for developing and implementing media integrated product and newsroom strategies with the goal to increase the value, quality and performance of the news operation in a constantly changing media environment.

The services cover strategy definition, product and process benchmarking, executive study tours, project and change management, and a comprehensive talent management programme for journalistic and management skills for both analogue and digital media.

UK editors gather at IFRA Newsplex workshop in London to discuss multimedia newsroom integration
The once thriving centre of UK publishing, Fleet Street, played host to IFRA's 1st workshop on 'Reorganising the Newsroom for Multimedia' on 11th September 2008, which was jointly organised by www.journalism.co.uk.. The sold-out workshop, led by Dr. Dietmar Schantin and Sarah Schantin Williams from IFRA Newsplex, gave editors a much-needed opportunity to brainstorm, gather fresh ideas and provoke lively debate for their multimedia journey. IFRA Newsplex supports planning and implementation of new strategy at Nottingham Evening Post, UK
At Nottingham Evening Post, editorial convergence is about growing audience by delivering stories in the most effective as well as efficient way, with the strategy focussed on multimedia publishing. “We think that we are the best storytellers in town, but we are only using half that power if we stick to print only,” says Deputy Editor Martin Done, who is in charge of the convergence project.
